  1. Router SSID Differents Case Letters on Computer and Router

My only internet connection is via old AT&T copper phone lines. This requires a "unique" modem that connects via RJ11/12 cable. Somehow my laptop identified the router SSID a xxxX7xxx while the router itself is XXXx7XXX. As a result, the computer cannot connect to the router. What complicates is issue is that everything else finds the SSID correctly: phone, car, tv, even other laptops. I tried entering a new adapter in the computer, using the correct case for the letters, but windows changed everything to uppercase and told me the device already exists. It appears I either have to complete

    Router's SSID Not Showing Up

    Thanks for everyone's help.

I noticed that the list of available SSIDs on my Windows configuration was shorter than on my phone. When I boot to Linux all the SSIDs show up that I see on the phone. That made me pretty sure that it's not a router issue but seemed to be a driver issue for the network adapter in Windows.

I opened Device Manager and removed the Intel Dual Band Wireless AC-7260 adapter. I responded to delete driver software. I scanned for new hardware and the WiFi adapter showed back up and installed a 2015 version of the driver. SSIDs populated with a complete list including my missing SSID for my router. Back in business and blazing along at 5ghz connected speeds.

Weird the newer drivers don't work and find the SSID. In any case, fixed! Apparently, not all the time newer drivers are better drivers ;-)

    Router's SSID Not Showing Up

Windows 10 available networks does not show the router that is 10' away on my ASUS ROG G751JT. Shows up on my phones, tablets and various other computers. I booted to Ubuntu and it shows fine on the ROG. The SSID was used on a prior router so I deleted the saved network SSID with the previous router, rebooted and the current SSID still does not show up.

    Ideas?

    Thanks!

    Router's SSID Not Showing Up

Thanks for your help. I was able to do that with a different computer connected to the router as my wired port isn't working on my laptop. It did not cure the problem. My ASUS ROG G751JT with Intel Dual Band AC 7260 didn't see the SSID being broadcast by the ASUS CMAX60000 router / modem.
