    hi all, loaded w10 yesterday, used it for about an hour. Today the pc will not run pass password, password is correct, 100% sure, nothing indicating in red that the password is incorrect. Deliberately entered incorrect password and there was no indication that it was incorrect either. Speakers are working and I can click on icon to show broadband connection, but cannot access it. Any help or suggestions appreciated. many thanks roy

    :)

    Shut it down, power off. Sometimes W10 resets it's self and all is well.

    Thanks for your reply Thomas, I have tried that, just tried it again, but still no joy. Do you know the key to enable access to the Bios setting, or maybe getting into Safe mode? Can I get back to the original 8.1 program. thanks for your time,Roy

    Boot up with your install disk. When you get the install screen the lower left corner will say repair you can try this.

    Hi roymin,

    On the lock screen, right hand corner, check the language is correct. If the language is set incorrectly, your password may not be accepted.

    If that doesn't work, try logging into your Microsoft account on another pc, tablet, 'phone etc to confirm you do not have a password issue. (Or are you trying to login via a local account?)

    Good luck!

    Perhaps the most unhelpful thread title on this forum.

    Tell me about it. If there was a first prize for the silliest thread title, then this one would win it hands down. I only popped in to this thread out of curiosity...and posted a possible while I was here.

    @roymin
    If the solution I posted in post #7 does not work, I suggest you start a new thread with a proper thread title that describes your issue.
    Something like Win10 login password not accepted might be good. You will likely get far better answers with a descriptive thread title. *Biggrin
    Good luck!

    Edit: I also suggest any new thread is posted in the sub-forum User Accounts & Family Safety

    Your enter key was broke? Doesn't your keyboard have two different enter keys?
