Windows 10: RS232 Problem - PL2303

hello all, i have a rs232 adapter with 3 led

It works well on my Windows 8. After upgrading to Windows 10, i couldn't install the driver sucessfully.

what should i do next?

Anybody could help me to solve this problem?

RS232 PROBLEMS

If I install a Generic Printer on a RS232 port ( like COM1 ) when I boot my machine and try to do a Test Page, Windows 10 ( all versions ) allways says that exist a problem with printer.

If i go to System , Device Manager, uninstall port and reinstall port, the printer automaticaly start printing.

I work with POS systems and this is a very big problem to our costumers, so many of then, have do downgrade to win7 or win8 because we cant understand why this append.

A solution found to "resolve" this situation made by us is:

Install Windows Driver Kit ( WDK ) and use devcon to restart rs232 port like this sample:

devcon restart *PNP0501*

mode com1:96,n,8,1,p

Have Microsoft a fix to this problem ?

serial data transmission through RS232 port between two PC

I need to transmit a data between two pc through RS232 port, give me steps to do that .

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.
