Windows 10: "Run as Administrator" option keeps disappearing

Hello there Microsoft.


In order to keep my desktop as clutter free as possible, I have added most of my shortcuts to the Start menu. One of the applications I use a lot is Visual Studio 2019.


I therefore created a shortcut to this in %programdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs - to devenv.exe in the appropriate folder.


Amongst other things things we develop Office Add-ins. These require us to run VS2019 in Admin mode, so I went to that shortcut's properties and I make sure that "Run as administrator" is checked on the shortcut. And it works perfectly



...




For a while.


And then, for no obvious reason, the "Run as administrator" option gets itself unchecked on the shortcut.


Now, as issues go this is a pretty trivial one. After all, all I need to do is go back to the shortcut, go into its properties again, and re-check that checkbox. And all is well again for a while.


But it's annoying.


I tried making the shortcut "read only". It still happens.


What is going on here? I thought at first that this may be happening whenever I install an update to VS2019, but this morning the checkbox was unchecked again and I don't recall installing such an update.

Step 1: Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter.

  Press Windows key +X, select
  Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter.
  

Step 2: You may follow the steps and check if it helps in resolving the issue, as the device might be hidden.

    Press Windows key + X.
    
  • 
    Click on Device Manager.
    
  • 
    Click on View.
    
  • 
    Click on Show
    Hidden Devices.
    
  • 
    Search for the Bluetooth device.

Right-Click Options Keep Disappearing

By following his method, you can create a desktop shortcut of anything installed in your computer. I am siting an example using "Cortana" app here:

1. Right Click on the Start Menu, choose "RUN".





2. Type Shell:AppsFolder in the RUN box, Click "OK".





3. Right Click on Cortana in the 'Applications' folder and "Create Shortcut".





4. It will ask you a question .....





5. Say "Yes" and you are done!

I have updates to do on my laptop but i am being asked to sign in as administrator but i am unable to do this. There is no option.

At this point, I suggest you to check if the user account you are logged into is an administrator account or not. If not, I suggest you to login to the computer
Administrator account.

Secondly, I suggest you to check if there are any other user account in your computer with admin privileges.

To do so, open Advanced User Accounts Control Panel to check all the user accounts created in the computer. Please follow the below steps.

• Press the Windows key and R from the keyboard to open the Run Command Dialog Box.
• Enter netplwiz
