Running a system restore off a bootable USB

My PC had been having random moments of really high disk usage under "System". I read that running a chkdsk may solve the issue, so I decided to give it a try. After running 'chkdsk /r' it said I had to reset my pc to start the process. It took about 9 hours for it to finish, but now when I turn on my pc, it gets stuck on bootup saying "Repairing disk errors this might take over an hour to complete".I left that going for 24 hours but nothing had changed, so I turned off my PC to try it again but the same problem occurs. It is a 2TB HDD so I know it should take a while, but 24 hours seems far

    :)

    Multi-bootable USB

Hey guys from TPU, couldn't find any specific thread pertaining to the question asked on title. As mentioned, I'm trying to create a bootable USB, but with many specifics boots available.

I've been trying to create one with multiple boot device including one that enables me to run Windows 10 directly on the USB Thumb Drive but to no avail.

The list of bootable images i'm trying to create are

    1. Windows 10 (A full OS running from thumb drive)
    2. Windows 10 ISO (Bootable disk image for fresh install)
    3. MemTest86+

Have tried YUMI or UUI from the website USB PenDrive Linux but as this is my first time, i don't know how am i screwing up or am doing it right.. Anyone got a rough idea on a step by step guide? Thanks!

  3. need list of usb bootable Operating Systems

I am looking for a good list of operating systems you can run from a usb or dvd.

If not a list, then folks can just post their top picks.

I want these to run from the usb/dvd without installing on the system or getting in the way of the system that exists on the hard drive.

    Thanks in advance.

    Bootable USB to ISO

He's not trying to make a bootable USB. He wants to restore the ISO from the bootable USB (the reverse operation).

What software are you trying to restore? You can get the Windows 7 ISOs from Digital River: http://social.technet.microsoft.com...c99-42db-80c8-6300f01f7aae/windows-7downloard
