Running a win xp game on win 11

I've been trying to run an XP game on win 11 and beside compatibility issues that I'd rather exclude, it changes the resolution to 600x480 and then crashes. I looked up on the event viewer and it seems clear that it has something to do with my GPU's software NvAPI. It claims "NVAPI_OUT_OF_MEMORY", it seems impossible though 12 GB.

    :)

  2. INSTALLED WIN XP ON WIN 7 THEN UPGRADED TO WIN 10 TO RUN OLDER SOFTWARE

I INSTALLED A SECOND OS (XP) ON MY WIN 7 COMPUTER TO BE ABLE TO RUN OLDER GAME SOFTWARE.

AFTER XP WAS INSTALLED AND WORKING I UPDATED WIN 7 TO WIN 10

SINCE THE WIN 10 UPDATE I AM UNABLE TO RUN XP

    HELP?

games / win 7 x64 in XP mode

Honestly, I haven't run into a single issue with any game that was made for XP using Win 7 x64.

Running a win xp game on win 11

Upgrade to Win 10 from dual boot win 7 / win xp

Everything seems OK on Win 10 specs (I have DirectX 11 though I don't know what WDDM 1 is). Using Computer Management / Disk Management, I see that I do have System / Active on my xp drive but the Win 7 drive already contains Boot / Page File. I therefore
suppose that my next move is to disconnect the Win xp drive as you suggest and see whether Win 7 boots alone OK before following your very helpful tutorial.

    Thank you.
