    Running cron on WSL 2 Ubuntu constantly takes 10-12% of CPU resources

    Hi,

    Just trying to become familiarized with WSL 2, I downloaded Ubuntu from Microsoft store and it is working so far great.

    I was thinking perhaps it is more convenient to run various periodical tasks as cron job than Windows Task scheduler, it is just not easily manageable for me, crontab notation is simpler and user friendly, I think... but when the cron is enabled with `sudo service cron start` CPU resource utilization jumps around 10 to 12% and constantly using up the resource and sit there.

    I am wondering this is an expected behavior, is there a way to minimize the resource utilization?

    Any input would be highly appreciated,

    :)

    iperf cannot run in WSL Ubuntu

    I have installed WSL 2 and Ubuntu. I want to run iperf from this Ubuntu to connect to a linux server on my LAN.

    I get connection refused error from iperf-

    $ iperf -c 192.168.2.45
    connect failed: Connection refused

    ssh L: [email protected] works fine. I suspect port 5001 is blocked somehow.
    Iperf runs fine from windows to same linux server. How can I enable iperf to run from Ubuntu.

    This was happening because ubuntu had iperf version 2 and server has iperf3.
    I installed iperf3 on ubuntu and now it works fine.

  4. Running cron on WSL 2 Ubuntu constantly takes 10-12% of CPU resources

    Couldn't install Ubuntu 18.04 on WSL

    I am currently running 16.04 version of Ubuntu bash on Windows 10 Pro (v1803) using WSL. But, I couldn't install the newly released 18.04 Ubuntu on my machine from the Windows Store. The store just refreshes on pressing the Get button. I tried resetting
    the store app, but it didn't help.
