Windows 10: Running low on memory on windows 10

Hi, so I created my new gaming PC two months ago. It had no issues until two days ago, when I would be playing a game for several hours and it would randomly crash. Had no idea why, I had ran a memory diagnostics and it came back clean, but the issue kept occurring.



Today I had an issue where it would not open a tab on chrome due not enough memory, so I opened task manager and was greeted by a weird page telling me that my device is running low on memory.

On the memory tab it just shows 36% usage of RAM, when I have a 16GB DDR4 3200 (Corsair Vengeance PRO)RAM installed.

What could I do to fix this issue, is this a bad batch of RAM that I should send back for replacement? (Bought RAM brand new and it does have warranty)?

Programs using too much memory and possible infection are a few of the factors that can trigger a Low on memory warning in Windows 10. We suggest running the
System Maintenance Troubleshooter. This will automatically detect issues that might affect system performance. Follow the steps below:

• Type Troubleshooting in Search.
• Select Troubleshooting Control Panel.
• Click View all.
• Click System Maintenance.
• Hit Next.

I would also suggest you to run the System Maintenance troubleshooter.

• 
  Press Windows and X key together and select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows,
  select System Maintenance.
  
• 
  Click next and follow the
  on-screen instructions.

Why is Windows 10 suddenly showing "Running Low On Memory"

I suggest you to run Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool and check if it helps.

Usually, Windows automatically detects possible problems with your computer’s memory and displays a notification that asks if you want to run the Memory Diagnostics Tool.

However, if the Windows Memory Diagnostics tool doesn't run automatically, you can run it manually.

Here are the steps:

• Type Memory Diagnostic Tool in search box.
• 
  You will get a pop up, just click on
  Restart now and check for problems.
  

It might take several minutes for the tool to finish checking your computer's memory. Once the test is completed, Windows will restart automatically.
