Windows 10: Running Office2007 SETUP.EXE on WIndows 10 - UI no good

I have my Office 2007 CD and Product key and am trying to install it on a new laptop (Dell Inspiron 7590 W10 Pro). The setup.exe program runs but produces a useless dialog box. I hit ENTER blindly and that did proceed to the next dialog box to accept Terms, but ENTER there was not recognized. No submit buttons are visible. The box is not stretchable. I can drag the box and I can get a context window on title bar, but only Move/Close are enabled. Size/Minimize/Maximize are greyed out. Right click in the body of the box does nothing. Any ideas how to get setup to be usable?

To assist you better, I would like to ask if you have installed any Antivirus in the Laptop.

I suggest you to run the program in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below and check if the issue persist.

• Right click on the “.exe” file of the program and select properties.
• Under Compatibility tab, check the option for “Run in Compatibility mode”.
• Select the Operating System from the drop down list.
• Click on Apply and OK.

EXE Files not running after upgrade to Windows 10

• What are the applications or programs, are you trying to open?
• From where did you install the applications on your system?

Lets try to perform a clean boot and check, if it works. Setting the system in a clean boot state will help to identify if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

Also, I suggest you to right click on the setup .exe file and select Run as administrator option and check, if it works.
