    Possible to run computer on AC, without charging battery?


    Hi!
    it is not good idea to keep the AC plugged in when the battery is fully charged. I used to do that and I damaged my battery.
    You can charge the battery and take it off and Work with pc with AC plugged at home in and use the battery later
    I use the AC instead of the battery all the time.

    Yes. It has been the case since LiON, that the charging circuit will exercise the battery, so that it will run at peak performance. I would suggest unhooking from power every now and then, so that the battery can run down some, but not all of the way. The more you take the battery offline and run it down, the less reserve that it will have over time, which can take up to 24 to 36 months of normal use on battery power, to see a substantial decrease in storage percentage.
