Windows 10: running short on space

Discus and support running short on space in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; how do I get my computer to give me more space I have a 16 gig thumb drive in my usb why wont it just use the space on the thumb drive...     run out of space

    Hi stevecrimble,

    Open File Explorer

    Click on your hard drive

    On the Manage Tab, click Cleanup

    Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

    Select Everything in the list and choose Delete

    Start Disk Cleanup again

    Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

    This time in the resulting dialog, click 'Cleanup System Files'

    Let Disk Cleanup run another scan

    Select Everything in the list and choose Delete

    If you still are short on space after that, do you believe you should have more space and cannot find what is using your space?

    If a category can't show the folders that it contains, there is a possibility that the folders are somehow hidden. To maximize your PC's storage, follow the suggested steps in these links:

    Running Low on Space

    I keep getting a warning that I am running low on space in the Local Disk (Frunning short on space :). None of the suggested fixes are doing anything to free up storage, any suggestions?
