Windows 10: Ryzen CPU fixed?

I heard with the release of windows 11 there was performance issue with ryzen CPUs. I am running a Ryzen 5 2600X and was wondering if the OS is stable enough that I wouldnt be getting performance issues with it.

Your Ryzen 7 1700X should be close to 4.0GHz anyway, so overclocking is pointless.
If the computer freezes then there should be an error listed in the crash logs, most likely a clock watchdog timeout, changing the cooler won't fix it.
I'd suggest leaving the CPU stock and clocking your Ram up a bit.

For better clarity, please let us know:

1) What is the version of Windows 10 installed on your computer?

Press Windows Key + R to open Run and type winver and click on OK

2) Are you aware of any changes, after which you have noticed this performance issue?



Meanwhile, you can try a few steps and let us know how it goes.



Method 1: Change Power Plan to High Performance.

• Press Windows + R key to open Run window.
• Type control and press Enter.
• Double click on Power Options
• Select the option High Performance.
• Check if there is any difference.

Method 2: Update drivers from manufacturer website.

I would also suggest you to update drivers from
AMD website and check.



If Chrome browser is using high CPU, you may want to check the article

I would also suggest you to check with the computer manufacturer with respect to CPU throttling and other BIOS settings which may curtail the hardware performance for power saving.

Windows 10 LTSC 1809 - Fixed the scheduler for Ryzen

Hello, after seeing AMD's E3 conference they were saying that Windows 10 1903 fixes the CPU scheduler for Ryzen CPU's. Now this is great as I have a Ryzen 2700x and will be upgrading to the new 3900x come next month. What is not great is that Microsoft will
not even issue a patch for LTSC users like myself. I'm not saying all the features in 1903 just the CPU scheduler should be included for us LTSC owners. I have LTSC for gaming as I cannot stand Pro or Home, sorry. Will there be any patch for us Ryzen CPU users
for LTSC? I feel as though we should get that patch.
