Any Windows Gurus on Hard Disk management around here
Got a dubious HDD on a Linux NAS and also I think a failing one on a Windows Server box -- but is there an equivalent tool in Windows that gives similar info that I can use on the Windows server box :

    Here's the Linux thing :

I've googled around but can't find any info -- It's not possible easily to remove the HDD and put into the NAS box to run the diagnostic so that's why I'm looking for a Windows tool.

    Hi Johan,

    It is possible that your
    HDD was unreadable
causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:

    • Shutdown
      your
      PC.

    • Unhooked
      the
      HDD
      and
      turn on
      your
      PC.

    • Reconnect
      your
      HDD
      and
      restart
      your
      PC.

If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
    laptop/computer's manufacturer
    for further assistance.

Update us on how it goes.

    Regards.
