Is there a software program that will add you incremental weekly backups to the original full backup instead of creating new large backup files every time it does an incremental backup?
Am using EASUS todo and it keeps creating large incremental backups in addition to the original backup

    :)

    Any recommendation for the backup?

    * Will I need to reinstall all the SW programs?

    * Which backup SW would you recommend?

Just about any backup program (not Windows built-in imaging, though) should do incremental backups. Macrium Reflect Free or Home is highly recommended here:

Macrium Reflect free version does not do incremental backups. You need the paid version for that. It does however do differentials which are much safer than incremental as the are only two files involved.

    Thanks for your reply...

what I'm trying to learn is if the incremental backups get consolidated into the original backup file that was created when I first used the backup software.
If I made a backup yesterday and made six more incremental backups in the next 6 months will those incremental backups have been consolidated into the original backup??

That facility is available in the paid version of Macrium Reflect. It is a relatively new function so I have no experience of how well it works.

I use Macrium Reflect Free and set it up to automatically schedule a monthly full backup and weekly differential backup of system and user files. I also use File History to backup user files every few hours.

Reflect Free is easy to use and works fine.

I appreciate all of your replies, but I have not received the answer to my question because perhaps I did not make my original question clear.
I downloaded Easus Todo fre edition several days ago and made a complete backup of my PC's data partition which consisted of 4 folders containining 400GB of doc photos, music and videos. I intend to add weekly scheduled incremental backups of new files that are added to my data partition.

Will the future weekly incremental downloads I schedule be consolidated into the original complete backup I made or will they remain individual Easus incremental files?

My goal is to have a complete current weekly backup of my data partition on my external backup drive instead of the complete backup I originally made AND many large incremental files. Is this possible or will I have to manually consolidate the incremental data files?
    Thanks for your help

It looks like the best way to achieve what you want is to make each backup a full backup, if your incremental backups are large enough to be an issue this would give you a single file for each week and may not be as great an overhead as would be the case with a smaller incremental file.

I was a long term user of EaseUS backup but recently trialled Aomei Backup and found that it's backup method, (using a partition based method), took a lot less time - a Main data system backup went from 8-9 Hours to around 1½ hours so may be an option

I've not used Easus for some time but if it is like other backup solutions except Macrium your incrementals will remain as separate files and you will not be able to merge them together.

I personally do not use these backup products for file & folder backups. I prefer to use an automated copy program such a SyncToy from Microsoft https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/down....aspx?id=15155 or my own personal favourite FreeFileSync FreeFileSync which is very flexible and allows for versioning. These programs only copy changes so are very fast.

  12. Getting back to the OP's initial question, the only backup software that I know of that will perform incremental consolidation at a user define increment is Macruim Reflect paid version. I'm pretty sure, Acronis, AOMEI, TODO do not have that feature.
