S/W Protection Svc scheduled to start 100 years from now?

In event viewer, Windows Log, Application, I found the following: Event 16384, Security - SPP..."Successfully scheduled S/W Protection svc for re-start 2122-11-23...Reason: Rules Engine". Why scheduled to start in 100 years?!

    :)

  2. Why is the software protection platform task scheduler set for 100 years ahead in Windows 10? That is 2117 instead of 2017.

After a reboot the software protection service runs successfully, checks licenses successfully, schedules next the run, and then stops. However, the task scheduler uses a year 100 years in the future to set the schedule: Successfully scheduled Software
Protection service for re-start at 2117-07-08T15:26:50Z. Reason: RulesEngine. Can I change is or does the software protection only need to run during a boot or reboot?

    Thanks for the reply.

My laptop isn't on a domain.

    OS is Windows 10

When I was searching for this issue, I saw quite a few questions regarding the task scheduler for the Software Protection service (most were asking about failures) but no one asked why the year was 100 years in the
future even though there were examples of that in snippets from the event viewer.

We appreciate the information that you have provided. To change a scheduled task, we suggest that you follow the simple guide listed below:

    • Press the Windows Key + X.
    • Select on Command Prompt (Admin).
    • At the command prompt, type net start, and then press
      ENTER
to display a list of currently running services. If Task Scheduler is not displayed in the list, type
net start "task scheduler", and then press ENTER.
    • At the command prompt, type schtasks /change /tn TaskName [/s computer [/u [domain\]user /p password]] [/tr TaskRun] [/ru [Domain\]User | "System"] [/rp Password] , and then press
ENTER. Note that you may have to change the parameters for your situation. For example, to change the program that a task runs, type: schtasks /change /tn "Application_Name" /tr C:\File_Path\Application_Name.exe

Kindly give us an update with the result and we'll be glad to assist you further.
