S1 host.exe system error detected an overrun of a stack based buffer in this app. The overrun could possibly allow a malicious user to gain control of this app./// Windows 11, upon start a black screen appeared and then a dialog box with this message/warning. i got this recently "logonui.exe the system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer" may you explain why that error happened?

On a Windows 10 desktop today there was this error message...

“The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application“

Any suggestion as to what the problem is and how to rectify the problem?

The following day, browser could not connect to any sites. diagnostics could not find a problem, vpn turned off, Verified that wi-fi was enabled. Restarted laptop & connection completed. Maybe a call to paid tech support to explain the WARNING but the "app" with potential malicious use was not identified in the alert.
