Safe Mode unavailable and System Configuration boot tab inoperable

    Hello All

I need some technical advice to resolve an issue where safe mode is inoperable on my windows installation, and the only information I have available as to what could be wrong is an error code d000000f.

I encountered that error code after trying to manually access safe mode by interrupting windows start up sequence with my system's power button, as System Configuration has an inoperable boot tab.

There's no mention of any drives or drive partitions in the boot tab and have no way to operate the advanced options button. I would like to ask for any technical assistance to fix this and try to make a repair installation without having to replace all my software and files. Thanks for any assistance.

    :)

  4. Safe Mode unavailable and System Configuration boot tab inoperable

Computer going into Safe Mode randomly on it's own.

    Hi Stevie,

Once in a while the operating system may get corrupted due to some software changes or inappropriate system functions. To resolve such issues, most of the time you might need to deliberately start the computer in the Safe Mode. Let's check
System Configuration to make sure your computer is not configured to startup in Safe Mode. To do so, kindly follow these steps:

    • Click on Start.
    • Type msconfig. (This will bring up the System Configuration window.)
    • Go to the Boot tab.
    • If selected, remove the tick from Safe boot.
    • Click Apply and then OK.
    • Lastly, restart your computer.

Update us with the outcome and if you need further assistance.
