  1. Safe to delete "Previous Windows Installation"?

By using the disk cleanup feature, I found that Previous Windows Installations was taking 23 GBs of space. Is it safe to remove these files? I have never upgraded my OS but I have reset my PC with the keep files option. An answer would be appreciated. Thank you very much!

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Safe to delete "Previous Windows Installation"? ;)
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

  4. Safe to delete "Previous Windows Installation"?

    window.old files---safe to delete?

No downside at all, in fact Windows will delete it automatically after 10 days anyway.

If you want to do it immediately, let me suggest you use the built-in cleanup tool. Here's how:

    • Use the search box to find and open "Disk Cleanup"
    • When it opens, click "Clean Up System Files" button near the bottom
    • In the list, select "Previous Windows Installation"
    • Click OK to clean it up
