  1. Safe to disable tasks?

For the past few months, my computer wakes up in the middle of the night. Using "powercfg -lastwake" in cmd I was able to trace the cause to Update Orchestrator. I found this guide and followed it. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...aking-my/19272430-f41f-4947-904c-71ab34b220f0

This worked fine a couple weeks ago until tonight it happened again. In that guide, it tells you to disable "Reboot". It is still disabled, but this time the cause of the computer turning on was USO_Broker_Display and USO_UxBroker. I am able to disable these tasks, but is it safe to? If they are solely responsible for keeping my PC up to date I'd rather find another solution, but considering they were the last tasks to wake my PC up I'm tempted to turn them off.

I'd like to note that I've also tried Reboot->Properties->Conditions and disabling "wake the computer to the run this task", which I did NOT disable last time, but have seen countless threads saying that it is re-enabled every time windows does an update anyway. https://i.imgur.com/pebN53T.png

Tons of threads on this topic are 5-6 years old, so it's baffling that the same things are still happening in 2020. Thanks to anybody who can help.

    Can't safely remove external disk

In reference to the steps of your suggestions:

    • The issue is specific to the particular disk and it started after I've used the disk to save the System image backup (created with the Control Panel > File History tool).
    • I didn't disable any windows Service. I'm just wondering if there is any to disable.
    • Safe boot with networking, or clean boot doesn't resolve the issue.

    Thank you.

Which NVidia Tasks and Services are Safe to Disable

I just installed a new NVidia GTX 1050 Ti GPu since the previous AMD GPU died. Which of the tasks and services below can I safely disable? I'm content to configure games manually and check manually for driver updates.
