Windows 10: Safe to remove hardware message no longer shows in Windows 10

Have latest Windows 10 20H2 and Safe to remove message is no longer displayed. All solutions offered earlier do not work. Settings, System, Notifications and Actions, Get notifications from apps ..... toggling OFF and ON has no effect. Enabling and using gpedit.msc method has no effect. sfc /scannow shows no problem.


The Eject action does achieve ejection without any message. Will see a message if the drive is being used and cannot be ejected. Is this a new feature? That the Safe to remove message is no longer a notification.

need registry key to enable "safe to remove hardware" message in Windows 10. This message no longer appears after "Safely remove hardware and eject media" is selected from the notification area's icon. The system is working properly but is simply not displaying
the "safe to remove message" which it previously did.

Still not able to get " Safely remove hardware and eject media" working when trying to close/eject any USB stick. There is no Group Policy Editor in Windows 10 Home edition so none of those suggestions work. I can't see any overall control in System:Notifications
and Actions though "Show App Notifications" is greyed out. Any other thoughts?

 

Safely Remove Hardware, no longer shows safe to do.

My Safely to Remove Hardware Icon is displayed on Taskbar. Clicking Icon, shows all hardware connected. Clicking the required hardware to be closed, now no longer shows caption that it is safe to do so. This stopped after the last close down of computer.
