"safe to remove hardware" notification not popping up

Hello everyone, I had my usb drive connected to the pc, and by mistake I went to the Action Center and I clicked "Turn off notifications for this group". So, now when I click to remove a usb or any device, I don't get the "safe to remove hardware" notification anymore. All notifications in setting are set to on, but still no pop up. Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    :)

Safe to remove hardware message no longer shows in Windows 10 Pro x64

need registry key to enable "safe to remove hardware" message in Windows 10. This message no longer appears after "Safely remove hardware and eject media" is selected from the notification area's icon. The system is working properly but is simply not displaying
the "safe to remove message" which it previously did.

Can't copy .wav file to c:\windows\media

The one that comes with Windows: "Alarms & Clock". BTW: Some notifications are now silent, too. Not all. "Safe to remove hardware" is one (when a drive is safely removed, or ejected).

"safe to remove hardware" notification not popping up

To eject the currently connected device, open command prompt and type-
    rundll32 shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll then Enter.
To enable icon again, go into Action Center>Taskbar>Select which icons appear ***>Windows Explorer safely remove *** and turn On. Plug in a usb stick and if icon still missing, open Task Manager, close Windows Explorer process, let it restart. Should re-appear.

    Good tip.

BTW, it can also be run from WinKey + R

" it can also be run from WinKey + R"

    Bree; even easier !

@ nightpain - you can also create a shortcut by r-click on desktop>New>Shortcut.
Put rundll32 shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll in 'Type the location of ***'>Next and name it, like 'Safely eject' and you have a backup method if icon disappears again.
