Windows 10: Safely change the owner of my computer to me without losing the desktop, etc.

I have a coworker who retired. I am using her computer that is saved to her name and her email. I need to change all that over without losing the desktop. I have already changed my Microsoft 365 account. The assistant told me I needed to call the toll free support numbers but they decided my question wouldn't be answerable on the phone and somehow flagged my number to hang up on me when I call back therefore funneling me to the online queries. I can't figure out if this is just a name change situation or if it is an account, etc. I need help.

Old Owner Name

I bought a used Axim. I changed the Device ID in Settings -> System ->

About. I changed the owner name in Settings -> Personal -> Owner Info.

But when I use Send To on a Windows 7 "desktop", the option for my

Axim lists the old owner's name. Not a major problem, but definitely

annoying. I couldn't find that name in the registry (on the Axim).

Can anyone suggest another place to look?

Change the owner account on a computer

I have windows 10 and my wife was the first user on the account. Without losing everything on it how do i change the owner from her account to mine? Thank you in advance.

 

My Name is Owner on Used Computer but PNG docs show previous Owner

dalchina, Thank you for your reply. I changed the Default Author Name in PowerPoint, but it didn't work for the PNG file even thought before I save the PowerPoint PNG file the author's name was mine. I also logged out of PowerPoint and started it again with no change. The Owner info still shows: DESKTOP\[former owner's name here]. My product is Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2021. There should be an image that shows the PNG file Properties. The info blacked out are numbers that I'm not sure is some sort of identification of my computer, and the red has the former name of the owner. Do you have any other suggestions?

I opened the PNG file and it seems to be treated as a photo and could see no way in the photo editing program to make it not use the name of the previous owner.
