    Safely remove hardware missing for One USB port after windows 10 anniv


    Safely remove hardware missing for One USB port after windows 10 anniversary update.
    For one USB slot its working fine. It makes notification sound a device is connected and safely remove icons shows in taskbar.

    For the other USB slot i can see it in file explorer. But not in safely remove Hardware. It also doesnt make the sound.

    I have followed this solution which is not working for me.

    Safely remove hardware and eject media icon does not show any new devices attached, and I can't click on any to eject them safely.

    A month ago we upgraded from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10 and like it but we have a problem: The safely remove hardware and eject media icon shows a box when I mouse over it, when I attach my Asus android tablet but only my WD Passport (which is
    continually attached) shows up as being attached when I click the box. The Asus (acknowledged by my PC as K2011) icon does not show up in the safely remove and eject media box so I can't choose it to eject. I did troubleshooting of hardware and devices and
    restarted my PC per instructions. I tried attaching the tablet to one USB port (and then a second USB port later to see if it was a USB problem). After troubleshooting, it worked once - attached to either USB port the tablet showed up in the safely remove
    hardware and eject media box as being attached to the computer, the icon was listed so I could choose it to eject the tablet safely and got a safe to remove message from either USB port.

    However, that only worked the one time for each USB port and we are back to the tablet icon not showing up in the safely remove hardware and eject media box. In every attempt the tablet shows as being attached in my files/drive listing and the file transfer
    I am doing works fine. What I have been doing to close down is closing all programs, closing down the tablet and unplugging it then. I am afraid of doing damage to either the PC or the tablet. I am using the USB cord that came with the tablet to connect
    to the PC. Help, please!

    Is the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon missing or can't you find it?

    Is any hardware (e.g., flash drive; wireless mouse receiver; keyboard) connected to the computer via a USB port?
