Windows 10: Safety Scan found 2 items. Then it tells me no items were detected. How do I find the 2 items?

I did a MSERT scan and it detected 2 problems. Then it finishes and says no problems. This does not sound right. Did it quarantine the 2 items or what? Need explained about MSERT scanning.

I wanted to see a listing of all detected items! What use is the scan if detected items are not shown so action can be taken?

Also, I had set up a schedule for regular scans but there has not been notice that any have been done, other than the ones I have requested. I am beginning to doubt that Windows Defender is doing its job! And if not, what malware, spyware apps are suggested?

2 settings items

hi forum,
i usually use tutorials here but i didn't find 2 of the items in the settings, so i created account to ask here, maybe someone can help, thanks in advance.
Windows 10 enterprise x64 version 1803 or 1809 (i have both)

1) Settings > Privacy > General > Show me suggested content in the Settings app

2) Settings > Privacy > Activity history > Store my activity history on this device

I need to set the above 2 items in settings (disable) by using registry, only by reg or bat file.
anyone knows if the above 2 items have registry keys to set?
