Windows 10: Salataire Evnts games Adding Time to the total

What is the point of playing in events to compete, if the event timer appears to be random?

Are the ads being added to the timer? Why the Ads any way? Are Xbox and Windows in danger of being broke?

Reminds me of the google/chrome advertise users to death campaign.

I came to the same conclusion as the original poster of that thread.


I did not like the idea of paying for a game that used to be included with the windows setup, with Windows 7.

Which by the way did not stop the ads, the solitaire reverted back to ads anyway.

I sure am not buying a monthly subscription for something that obviously does not work correctly.


Is there a solution to this problem with the timer not otherwise mentioned in that thread?

Total time is wrong for Microsoft Solitaire Event Challenges

The trouble shooter has nothing to do with this problem. The app opens, runs, closes, and plays all the games correctly. The problem is that the Event challenge does not add the times up correctly. The total time as shown by the game is longer than
the total time I get by adding up the times I wrote down as each challenge finished. My time was shorter than the total time the game showed.

 

ads on zone.com that interrupt timed games

Is there a way to stop the ads that interrupt timed games on zone.com? The clock continues to run down while the ad pops up, defeating the purpose of the game (Majongg Dimensions, for instance).

• Are you using the latest version of the game?
• Are all the updates and latest drivers installed?

I suggest to run the game in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if it helps.

• Right click on the ‘Setup’ icon for the game and click on properties.
• Under Compatibility tab, check the option for ‘Run in Compatibility mode’.
• Select Windows 8.1 from the drop down list.
• Click on Apply and then OK.
