Can any parts such as memory modules be salvaged for spare parts for a new computer. I am thinking about removing the old memory modules to increase the memory of the new computer. I did this a long time ago, but I forget the details.
One computer is a Dell and the other is a Lenovo.

  2. Was dowloading a program from windows mobile to my phone and now am unable to use my phone.

What application did you try to install? A normal application should not be able to do that.

To make sure it didn't: do a soft reset, see if it still displays the behaviour you described. If it does, try to salvage as much data as you can (MyPhone does help...) and try a hard reset. A hard reset destroys all data on your device, including any encryption
keys that are used for encrypting data on SD-cards (so if you have "data encryption on, don't forget to salvage that data), so make sure you salvage what you need to salvage. Perform a hard reset and see if the device still has the same behaviour. If it does,
it is a hardware defect and should be retunred to the shop.

  3. Restore system and software files from error recovery

If you refrained from performing some type of image or factory restore then it's not "might be ways to salvage" but "are ways to salvage".

Depends if they are compatible , some items are backwards compatible , others aren't.

Some that ARE compatible would cause new systems to slow down because they run at a much slower access rate than the newer items would.

There would be much more information about each system needed before anyone could advise , type / speed of RAM in each , etc etc.
