    I also don't understand the need to buy a new device just because it's available. They make new devices all the time, how often one is supposed to change them?

    Technical issues only come about because of incompatible hardware.
    Yet we know, windows 10 is compatible with thousands of componets
    Samsung refuses to support.

    How many version of windows has there been, and in each one, MS
    has given vendors plenty of time to make it right. So it's close to 1 year
    plus many months to prepare.

    Samsung has failed to do so, so it make the case that they want to sell
    new stuff that is compatible going forward leaving current customers
    to figure it out themselves.

    Just like to say, that Samsung is not the only one. They are on the slow side regarding updates, but HP, Dell etc. are not much better.

    Here is an article from Nov. 2015, so some half year old, about HP and Dell doing the same as Samsung

    I don't suggest that this is a good practice, just that Samsung isn't that special.
