Samsung RC510 - Got stuck at windows 10 logo when trying to boot into USB.

Still occur this error "0xC1900101 - 0x20017 The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation"

I founded the solution it helpful.

Wifi card adapter(Broadcom) was the problem. Remove it physically and enjoy windows 10

still having same problem as windows 10 installation stuck at windows logo in my Samsung rc510. seems to stay with windows 8.1 only as no solution from Microsoft and time to free upgrade is coming to end. don't want to fully dismental my laptop to remove
wifi card

 

I also have the same problem with my Samsung RV511

 

try removing your wifi adapter worked a treat for me install win 10 then turn of your pc and put the wifi card back in. get back to us if this worked

i found this info on another thread on this site and by the looks of things it may be your only chance

 

I also can install Windows 10 after removing the wifi card DHXB-81 (with Broadcom chip). However if I put back the wifi card afterwards, it can detect Bluetooth but wifi is not working. If I tried to update the driver for the wifi card, it said it can detect and find the driver but cannot install the driver and shown an error code 31. When I restart the notebook, it will hang at the windows logo and can't boot up. I have to remove the wifi card again to make it work again. Does your wifi card work normally after you put it back in?

 

Same thing with NP-Q330. I wonder what is wrong with all those Samsungs?

I'll try the following and see if it helps (each step done if the previous fails)
1. Update BIOS to the latest version
2. Disable nVidia in BIOS
3. Disable Wi-Fi in BIOS

 

There is an announcements on Microsoft forum that mentioned about the wifi card issue which affects several Samsung laptop models (at least RC, RV, RF series). See this thread from Microsoft forum: Windows 10 cant be installed on several Samsung laptop models - Microsoft Community

Hope that disabling wifi in bios can fix your problem! Unfortunately, RC-510 bios doesn't has the feature to disable the wifi card.

 

yes my WiFi and Bluetooth both worked after reinstalling the wifi card so tbh im not 100% sure i didnt even have to update my driver for mine to work mine just worked after i put the card back in sorry i couldnt help with your problem.

 

For now, I have to use an USB wifi adaptor. Luckily I have a TL-WN725N sitting around. I also ordered a Atheros AR5B225 wifi card and waiting for it to arrive. Hope it works on my RC-510. I will post the result when it arrives, ETA early Sept.

I would like to share my experience on Windows 10 installation on my RC-510 after removing the Broadcom wifi card from RC-510. I am using an ISO DVD for the installation. The first time, I chose to keep the files only as I was thinking of getting rid of all the Samsung stuffs. The result is I got a non-working LAN. I had to download the latest driver from Realtek from another computer and used that to update the LAN driver. It works. I then found that there are 3 unknown devices on the device manager. I couldn't figure out what they are so I can't search for the latest driver. Update Driver Software within device manager won't fix it. Finally, I reverted the notebook back to Win7 and reinstalled windows 10 again. This time, I chose the default and keep everything including the apps and files. I disconnected the LAN during installation. After finished the installation, all drivers are there except the graphics adaptor. I reconnected the LAN and did an update driver software from device manager. So now, I have a working RC-510 with Windows 10 and all the apps and files same as before except that I don't have Bluetooth and for wifi I have to use an USB wifi adaptor.

BTW, to remove the wifi card inside the RC-510, you have to remove the whole bottom cabinet/cover. There are a number of videos available on the Internet that show you how to do that.

 

I've finally found a solution!

Samsung RV 411
Core i5 M480 | 4GB DDR3
Windows 7 HP x64
I think it will work for all the Samsung laptops. Worked on both mine and from my brother (S3511).

I will show exactly what I did.

• Clean C:\Windows\Download and delete C:\$Windows.~BT folder.
• Mount a bootable USB using Media Creation Tool.
• Restart PC, go to BIOS setup
• Enable the UEFI boot and delete Mass Storage from boot priority
• Save and exit, then start Windows normally.
• -
• Turn off internet connections (Ethernet, WiFi, etc.)
• Open setup.exe from bootable USB and just follow the installer.
• Everything now should run without problems
• I had a problem at the 3rd step (3rd reboot, after drivers installation). Again, spinning icon didn't appears. Just reboot manually and it should continue the process from the same point.

Apparently the UEFI boot was the problem. It should be Enabled, but on my laptop it was disabled by default.
