Samsung SSD PM851 M.2 2280 128 GB is not recognized

    Hello,

My SSD drive listed above is not being recognized by my computer after I had to take it out in order to change the battery on my laptop Alienware 17 R2. My C drive HDD came back and works normally after I put everything back together, but my SSD drive is not recognized in Disk Management. It is recognized in Device Manger, so I attempted to update the driver, but it says the device is working properly and that the driver is current. Any thoughts?

    :)

Eluteng Enclosure and Samsung M.2 PM851 not recognised by windows

I recently bought an eluteng M.2 enclosure from Amazon and a Samsung PM851 M.2 SSD from CEx.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07MGB9PC5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Samsung 128GB PM851 NGFF M.2 SSD HDD MZ-NTE1280/000 MZNTE128HMGR-00000 MZNTE128HMGR-000SO SATA Hard Disk Drive Module 2280 22x80mm Laptop

I placed the SSD in the enclosure and plugged it in to my laptop (Lenovo V110) Windows 10. The computer makes the sound that a device has been connected but the SSD does not show up in my computer.

I have tried searching for the drive in disk management but it does not show up. I have also tried searching in device manager under "Disk Drives" and it is shown as "sobetter Ext SCSI Disk Device". I have tried diskpart to no avail. If the device is connected
and i start CMD using "Run as Administrator" and type diskpart, then no drives show up and it will not let me type "list disk" or anything at all.

I'm wondering whether the drive hasnt been wiped etc and it has the drive letter C as it is a second hand drive? is that possible, and if so how could you fix it?

Any other information needed, let me know.

    asus rog gl753ve m.2 type 2280 issue

I have an Asus ROG GL753VE laptop. It has 2 hard drives. An m2 slot with a SanDisk SSD z400s m.2 2280 128 GB, and a 1tb spinner HDD. I need more space on the c drive, so I picked out a crucial m.2 that shows as compatible. Crucial MX500 500GB M.2 Type 2280 Internal SSD Upgrade for: ASUS ROG GL753VE Crucial part number: CT11445517
When I install it, the laptop will not boot...no power no nothing. I look at the front lights and the power indicator comes on for about 1 second then goes out. I swap the old m.2 and it fires right up. I swapped them out 5 times...same results. I choose the 100% compatible with crucial so I wouldn't have these issues. Any ideas? Maybe I can return the Crucial SSD, and remove the existing SanDisk m.2 SSD, and replace the 2.5 spinner with a 2.5 Samsung SSD so I can have that space. I don't know why Asus would but in such a small m.2 SSD and have all the space on a spinner drive for data.

Samsung SSD PM851 M.2 2280 128 GB is not recognized

M.2 SSD for Asus NX500J laptop

The Newegg link that you provide is to a PCI-E non-NVME SSD.

Crucial.com lists no M.2 SSD upgrades for the NX500JK. They list the M.2 slot only as PCI-E. (Crucial makes both PCI-E and SATA M.2 2280 drives. They appear to not make any non-NVME PCI-E M.2 SSDs.)
