samsung syncmaster 226bw not detected windows 10

Hi I'm currently running my PC on a VIZIO tv through an HDMI, today I wanted to set up multiples displays and got myself a Samsung syncmaster 226bw monitor. With a VGA cable I have it securely connected and my windows it updated fully when I go to display settings it says that it can't find any other monitors. I have looked at my drivers I noticed I missing a Ports driver but idk if thas the issue as it wasn't installed until now. I installed it and tried to connect and nothing. Wondering what I should do the monitor works just fine the wire seems to be fine.

    :)

  2. Samsung "SyncMaster 2243SN"

The "SyncMaster 2243SN" recommended resolution is 1920x1080 60Hz. My laptop (HP 2230s) uses windows 10 Home (previously it was Win 7). When switching from a laptop screen to a monitor ("SyncMaster 2243SN"), I can not set the recommended resolution. At
Samsung there is no support for this type. What can I do? Please help.

Samsung 226BW LCD w/ Samsung MagicTune Softs

Many of Samsung's monitors are not listed in the compatibility list ... but according to the Samsung guy ... it should work with all of them anyway.

    Just a thought ...
