Windows 10: Samsung TV via HDMI device & Audio Driver diasbling itself

over the past 6 months ive had this annoying little problem with the device and Audio driver vanishing and disabling the audio between my mac mini that i use as a media server which i run windows 10 home on, and a wide screen Samsung plasma TV via HDMI. during down time where its doing its typical server/file management activities and the TV is off, the audio gets disabled and i have to restart to get it working again. Ive noticed that when its down i get an alert icon on one of my High Definition Audio Controllers under System in Drivers which i cant affect any updates or changes on to fix

HDMI audio driver for ASUS X551M laptop?

This is from Intel regarding hdmi:

• Install the latest Intel® Graphics Driver, this also installs the latest audio codecs for HDMI.
• After driver installation, connect to the HDMI TV or digital display, using a HDMI cable.
• Select HDMI audio as your default playback device. Click Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound.
• Click Sound. The Playback tab lists the audio playback devices for your computer.
• Right-click on the device for HDMI audio, and select Set as Default Device.

 

PC to TV through HDMI

Have you tried to reconfigure your audio settings? If not, try to change your audio output settings to HDMI by following the steps below:

• Press Windows ( ) key + X.
• Select Control Panel.
• Click Hardware & Sound.
• Click Manage Audio Devices.
• Select the HDMI device listed under the Playback tab.
• Click Set as default and click Ok.

Also, we suggest to update your audio driver.

No sound from TV with HDMI cable

I tried your suggestion, I even went to the point of uninstalling all the audio drivers from the Device Manager and then installed the Realtek driver from my motherboard manufacturer, but sadly, nothing really changed.

When looking at your printscreens, it is interesting to note, that the name SAMSUNG shows up on the Device Manager, but in my case doesn't. And I can't set a playback device because there are no speakers on my desktop, it should detect the TV, but it doesn't.
