    Specially that Windows 10 is ever evolving, one never knows, if a code change needs a NVMe update.

    New SamSung 960 Firmware Update Might Cause Freezes Perf Issues

    If you are having problems since the firmware update you can get copy of version 2.2 for the NVMe driver here: Samsung NVMe SSD Driver Download v2.3

    Personally, I'm not having any issues with my brand spanking new 960 EVO(installed last Friday), and the firmware updated yesterday.

    Hi,
    Not anymore magician for me not since it was said to cause usb issues.
    Once I used it to update the firmware but that was it.
    Now I don't even do that.

    Samsung's 950 Pro SSD

    Since I have the new one, I downloaded the changed one, just for safe keeping, if I start to have bugs.
    Being it's PCIe or sata, depending on how one has set their system up, plus it might depend on the CPU generation and chipset, that is causing the problem. I'm currently on 6700K Z170 chipset and haven't noticed anything different.... yet.

    The 960 EVO and PRO FW's don't have ISOs yet. I called and asked and support said they've only been available via Magician and ISOs will be released at a later time.

    I do. But then again I've got 4 Samsung SSD drives in my system....

    Samsung 950 Pro (512gig) - OS drive
    Samsung 850 Pro (512 gig) - Photo drive
    Samsung 850 EVO (1TB) - Backup drive
    Samsung 850 EVO (2TB) - Games / Data drive.

    Anyway I don't find a problem with Magician, but that's me.
