    External SATA SSD

Yeah I thought this of the speed but I never been able to boot from a sata to usb3 caddy. It would be my preferred solution. How would I reference it in easyBCD so I can add it to my boot list? Cheers - - - Updated - - - Okay guys…thanks for your help I don’t know why I had issues bottling from usb before (win10) but I just tried you suggestion with sata to usb converter and added the drive to easybcd and it booted perfectly. Happy days! Cheers for you advice guys!

  3. Slow SSD Write Speed

    Slow SSD Write Speed
    Windows 10 build 1909

Recently I have installed 480 GB AS340 PANTHER SATA III SSD. I was getting good Read and write speed well above 500 MB/s Read, and 300 MB/s write. But it's been one week now I am getting my writing speed throttled in a midway. From stable 250 MB/s for
    3-4 write to 10 MB/s.
I also attached a video demonstrating this problem.

FYI I have Intel(R) 6th Generation Core Processor Family Platform I/O SATA AHCI Controller installed.

SATA SSD not bootable via usb, cloning did not work either

I tried checking the files and what copied over and i'm a bit lost and it's a little overwhelming so i gave up. I ended up buying off amazon a SATA/NVME dual bay enclosure with offline clone to try out what you were suggesting (on Amazon it was listed as MAIWO Dual Bay Enclosure for M.2 NVMe and 2.5 3.5 Inch SATA SSD/HDD with Offline Clone, USB C 10Gbps Lay Flat Docking Station Duplicator for M.2 NVMe and External SATA Hard Drive). I didn't hook it up to my computer at all and it cloned in about 10 minutes. I reinstalled the M.2 SSD that i cloned my old SATA SSD data to and with it in the 1st position for booting it lagged and then skipped over it to my normal SSD in my laptop so i'm thinking it also failed. I was going to check for an official bootloader that would load when i start my comptuer so i can ensure i'm selecting the correct SSD to try booting from but for now it looks like another failure on my end.

If all else fails i'll probably go to my work IT department and see if they have any suggestions or would be willing to do it for me on the side. As always i'm open to any suggestions.
