Microsoft has managed to do it again with a stick in the wheel.before win 11 I could create a simple notepad document and save it, but now it's multiple pages, can we reverse back to normal notepad.

Scanning multiple pages in to one single document​

I understand that you want to scan multiple pages into one document. You can achieve the task by scanning all the pages into one PDF file.

• What is the make and model of the scanner?

I would suggest you to refer the articles mentioned below, depending on the scanner you are using to scan the document.

For Brother Scanners:

Scan multiple pages into one file instead of each scan being saved as a separate file.

For EPSON Scanners:

Scan multiple documents using the IJ Scan Utility.

I suggest you use the Brother Control Centre. It has inbuilt facilities for scanning multiple pages into a single .pdf file:

I will need more information about your concern about saving your document. Please verify the following:

• Can you tell me the error message you're getting when saving the document?
• Is the issue isolated to a single document?
• Are you signed in as the administrator when you encountered the issue?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

In the meantime, I suggest launching Notepad with administrative privileges.

1. Click the Start button and type Notepad.
2. Right-click Notepad and select Run as administrator.
3. If prompted, click Yes or enter the administrator password.
4. Open the document and save it by clicking File > Save with administrator access.

We also need to make sure that the file is saved in Unicode format, not the default one,
ANSI.
