  1. Save As Dialog Does Not Remember Last File Folder

Since the most recent January and March 2021 Windows 10 Home updates, anytime I click Save As in any software program--including Microsoft Office Word/Excel/etc, Microsoft Word, Adobe--the last File Folder in which I saved a document is forgotten. This requires me to click down several folders over and over! This is extremely unproductive.

This feature has come and gone several times over different iterations of Windows. MS Paint seems to have figured out their own work-around, so it definitely is still possible. However, most apps/software seem to rely on File Manager's capabilities. In the December 2020 version of Windows 10, I seem to recall an option under File Manager's Folder options-- View > Options > Folder Options > View --where this could be reset.

I tried doing yet another Windows update, ensuring I am running the latest of all software programs--after a Windows 10 2018 update destroyed my hard drive just after warranty expiration £££, leaving me without a working computer for almost a year, I usually postpone updates until loads of people have safely run them.

Why does Windows 10 keep going backwards in terms of productive functionality?

BTW, it is annoying that Windows updates ignore all dekstop.ini file folder customisations, sometimes deleting them en masse! Customised icons are apparently history. Is productivity irrelevant to Windows 10 developers?

    :)

Open/Save Dialog not showing all folders/files

    Hi Gary

In order to get a better idea of the problem, can you please provide a screenshot of a listing of those folders in Windows File Explorer and also in the Open/Save dialog, which shows folder that cannot be seen in that dialog . . .
