    Save as WEBP alternative 'all files'


    Hi,A search of this issue appears to be directed to an specific application, or the responses do not work anymore such as the chrome extension 'save file as', which apparently no longer exists.It appears, in my pics file file explorer that recent pictures from ANY source are being saved as a WEBP file. As mentioned above the only alternative offered is 'all files'. How do I get back jpeg, jpg, bmp etc?Not sure why my version of win 10 started this, but like to correct it asap.Appreciate any guidance or clarification request.

    Windows 10, Outlook 2016 and quick preview for .webp files

    I do not known what happen recently but I guess it is related to a windows update.

    I was able to quick preview .webp file attachment in outlook 2016, but all of sudden, it is not working anymore.

    My file association are now associate with Google Chrome.

    I was expecting to see Microsoft Photo in the list of available application to open the .webp files but it not listed.

    Any suggestion?

    Hi Leonardo,

    What I really want to do, it is to see the image (.webp type in attachment) directly in Outlook without opening another external application. It used to work fine since a few weeks ago. Now, the outlook preview is not working and if I double-click on the
    file, google chrome is the application choose by default to sse the image instead of Microsoft Photo.

    In the file association for .webp file type, the microsoft Photo is not listed.

    Add 'Save as webp' To windows 10, Version 1903 OS Build 18362.239

    I would like to know if there is a way to add 'Save As WebP' image file format to windows 10 context menu. Through the registry. WebP images are a new file format that is designed specifically for the web. Which has up to 30% better compression than Jpg or Png. It Also compresses with better loss reduction compare to the other image file formats. Can anyone suggest if this is possible? or show me how I would do this through the registry.
