    Been having an issue with this for a while.Initially, word folders would be saved and accessible through the recent documents from Word but the file isn't visible in the saved folder. Accessing folder via file path didn't help as the document isn't visible. I've already tried changing the folder settings, set File Explorer to default settings, troubleshooting and repairing. It doesn't seem to be working. They do, however, show up if saved as pdf or in other formats. Only the word documents are not seen. Please help, Thank you.

    Saves log files ?

    You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

    Download CCcleaner from here...........

    http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

    You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

    Recently opened (word) file not showing up in File Explorer Quick Access Recent Files

    Running Windows 10 Home

    Every file (word, excel, pdf, jpeg, etc) that I open shows up in my "File Explorer Quick Access Recent Files" list, except one. It's a Word file (.docx) and I have other files of the same type in my list. Any thoughts on why?

    New files or folders do not show up in the attachment window for email and sometimes not in File Explorer

    Hi. Since changing my laptop I have been unable to easily attach files to my emails. It seems that new files do not show up when the attachment window opens. This happens with Gmail using Chrome and Firefox, and also Thunderbird. This suggest to me that
    there is a problem with Windows itself as it is not able to access the new files.

    Nor are the files currently showing up in File Explorer!!!!! They never show up even after restarting the laptop.

    These are Word documents and they do show in the Recent File list in Word and in the Recent Files window in File Explorer - just not in the folder I have saved them to. Also I created a new folder which does not show in File Explorer.

    I have tried to follow the suggested fixes which seem to concentrate around showing hidden files - the hidden files box is not checked when I look at the properties.

    Please help. I want to email some files right now and I can't work out how to do so.
