Saving a Snipping Tool picture opens a screen that covers almost the entire screen. There is no "minimize" button and I can't resize it by using my pointer either. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it with no change. Has anyone encountered this or know how to fix it? I'm running Windows 11.

    :)

    Snip Tool won't save directly

My snip tool won't save snips at all unless I manually go into the snip tool and save it from there. I'm running Windows 11.

I have all of these enabled:

    • Snipping tool notifications
    • Use the Print screen button to open screen snipping
    • Save Snips
I've created a new user profile, turned off and on all those various settings, updated my computer fully, and rebooted.

I talked with someone in tech support at length but he was stumped too since I have the "Save Snips" option enabled. Saving a Snipping Tool picture opens a screen that covers almost the entire screen. :(

W11 snipping tool unable to print from snipping toll screen

My current version of the snipping tool app 11,2302.40

I don't know when this was updated but now I am unable to print my screen shot directly from the snipping tool screen without saving the screen shot to my pictures folder. This now creates an few extra steps that I didn't have to do before. Is there some way to print without saving the screen shot? Thanks

Print screen button is not working, how can I take ss of the entire screen?

WinKey + PrintScreen: Copies the entire screen to the clipboard AND saves it as a .PNG file in your Pictures\Screenshots folder.

    (or)

PrintScreen: Copies the entire screen to the clipboard.

Alt + PrintScreen: Copies the currently active window to the clipboard.

Then open Paint and paste (Ctrl+V) the clipboard contents and save the file.

On laptops, use the Fn key in addition:

    • Fn + PrintScreen
    • Fn + Alt + PrintScreen
    • Fn + Win + PrintScreen
To capture a specific area on the screen, you may use the built-in Snipping Tool. Type snipping tool in Start to find the utility.
