    Saving an OFX file to windows 10 computer


    Hi, can anyone help? I need to download my bank statements as an OFX file and save to the computer to then upload to Xero Accounting . I have two problems...


    1) I need to save it as an .OFX file - my computer does not give me this option, without first selecting a programme to open it, of which there is no compatible programme on offer.

    2) In trying to do the above, I have inadvertently selected Microsoft Office 2010 as the default programme and it wont let me change it. I have been through the settings and via the app store but it does not give me any options.


    I have downloaded GnuCash which will open and read the file (saved in the programme above) but it wont let me save it in any other format.


    I've also tried changing the file Properties but have nothing compatible to change it to...


    Has anyone experienced this or can anyone make any suggestions?

    OFX file cannot be opened

    I still can't open a file with an ofx handle, it sends me to the app store and that suggested app doesn't run. I need to be able to open files with ofx ending as I work as a book keeper and some banks use this handle.

    .OFX FILES ON WINDOWS 10

    I use Windows10, and have inadvertently made notepad the default to open downloaded .ofx files, (bank statements), and now I cannot import the file into Sage One Accounting.

    Can anybody tell me what to do? I have gone to settings, app defaults and at .ofx files click on the progam listed (Notepad) to find other options, and the only one that comes up is the Shopping Store which does not help me at all.

    please help me, I am desperate!

    .OFX FILES ON WINDOWS 10

    Hi OUMA

    Right click a file with that extension, ( .ofx ) choose 'Open With' - Choose Another App

    Important: check the box marked 'Always use this app to open xxx . . .'

    If Sage is not in the list, scroll to the bottom and click 'More Apps'

    Again if Sage is not in the list, at the bottom, click 'Look for another app on this PC', then navigate to find the Sage application executable in Program Files
