Windows 10: Saving credentials for OneDrive always adds "MicrosoftAccount" prefix but this does not...

I can log on to d.docs.live.net with a username:

"\[email_address]"


I tick "Remember my credentials" but after a restart there is no automatic logon and windows has changed my stored username to:

"MicrosoftAccount\[email_address]"


This simply does not work so I have to delete the prefix "MicrosoftAccount" to log on. Again I tick "Remember my credentials" but again it adds the prefix on restart

Mapped drive keeps on asking for credentials

This worked well but I now have an issue.

Using my Surface the mapped drive asks for the credentials and even though each time I change it and ask it to save the settings it on restarting the device asks the same question
Windows 10, surface 3 Wi-Fi.

It inserts before the user name the following “MicrosoftAccount/” so it shows MicrosoftAccount/ + my "username"

Deleting the “ MicrosoftAccount/ “ allows access, you do not need to retype the password.

This is then good for the duration of the powered-up session.
On restarting the device and attempting to use the mapped drive link, it again asks for the credentials with the inserted “ MicrosoftAccount/ “ before the user name.

Saving web credentials

We suggest checking Manage my saved passwords on Edge to manually add/edit your credentials. Click on the
More actions ". . ." button > Settings >
View advanced settings > Manage my saved passwords.

Update us on the result.
