Windows 10: Saving Sent folder in Outlook

Hello,

If I want to save my Sent folder msgs for my business email from Yahoo Small Business, and using IMAP connection in Outlook Windows 10, and I'll be shutting down the business email service soon, will this still keep the msgs in Outlook?

Is there a View Messages Offline type of setting?

Outlook - to force mail to be saved in sent folder(s)

Hi folks

sometimes outlook doesn't save sent messages in spite of options settings

This method always works :

'fraid it's a registry trick though (regedit)

The Registry keys associated with the Save copies of messages in Sent Items folder option are as follows:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\x.0\Outlook\Preferences
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\x.0\Outlook\Preferences

Where x.0 is your version of Outlook:

Outlook 2016 = 16.0
Outlook 2013 = 15.0
Outlook 2010 = 14.0
Outlook 2007 = 12.0
DWORD Value Name: SaveSent
Value Data:

0 = Disabled; Sent emails will not be saved in the Sent Items folder.
1 = Enabled; Sent emails will be saved in the Sent Items folder.

On some machines the policies might not exist so just do ist change --if key doesn't exist create new DWORD with name vale SaveSent as above.

Oulook 2016 sent items not all in sent items folder but are in outlook

Hi there

Trying to setup up my new computer, Windows 10 home. I have outlook 2016 and I tried to start without adding a new account and then tried to import from outlook 2010 pst file. I still have the old computer with outlook 2010 , all my emails etc

This gave me some old emails but no current ones and no address book/contacts

I then added a new email account pop 3 manually and it works sends and receives
I also saved and imported a csv file of contacts and that is all good.

However I notice that if I send some pics from another program, right click send to they are sent but they are not in the sent items under my email account, but they are in the sent items under the outlook data file. If I sent a reply to an email the sent box under my email account saves the reply.

I would like to have all of my sent items under the one sent folder, and preferably the sent folder under my email account not the sent item under the outlook data file

Any suggestions?

Outlook 2010 Keeps Changing Sent Messages Folder

I have Outlook 2010 set up on 3 PCs to save sent mail items in a particular folder on an IMAP mail server. This works for a while then the sent mail starts being saved to the Outlook Data File / Sent Items folder or the Sent Items folder on my MS Outlook email account (connected via MS Exchange). Is this a known problem and is there a fix?
