    Sending Email from Folder

    I am having trouble sending files as attachments, via email directly from the folder they are saved to. Before I upgraded to Windows 10, I was able to send files directly from the folder, excel, word, etc. Now when I try, it says, "There is no email associated
    to perform the requested action. Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

    I have tried doing so multiple times, and it does not create an association.

    Am I missing something?

    default email

    my default email is Thunderbird mail. I have it set to default. I have a video that I want to send to someone in my email list when I right click on the video and click sent to mail recipient it says there is no email associate for this . Does
    it not work in Thunderbird?

    Links/associations not working


    So, does no-one have suggestions or a solution to my problem?
    The problem occurs when I double-click on a folder or link: 'This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel'.
    I can only open them by right-clicking on the item and select 'Open' which is third in the list. Above that is 'Search' and on the top is 'cmd' (where 'Open would normally appear).
    I've scoured the Net and tried several ways to cure this (including 'Default File Type Associations - Restore in Windows 10') but to no avail.
    Any suggestions most welcome.
