Windows 10: Sbcglobal e-mail stopped syncing and connecting to server in Outlook

My Sbcglobal e-mail stopped syncing and receiving e-mails within Outlook. It throws an error that it can not synchronize or connect to the server. Error: 0x800CCCOE.


The e-mail account cannot be repaired and when trying gives an error: Cannot log onto incoming IMAP server. Check e-mail and PW and try again." We have tried manually setting up the e-mail account using all of the correct server settings. We even deleted the sbc e-mail account on a lap top and now Outlook won't allow us to even add any SBCglobal e-mail account back on that computer.


The e-mail and password are correct as I can log into email directly at att.com and yahoo mail sites.


We are using Office 365.

Any ideas?

configure Server Ports in Outlook e-mail app


I just updated the Outlook mail app and it seems that you can specify the servers and if they use SSL. Specifying SSL should set up the ports as you need them for AT&T

Add account
Select advanced setup
Select Internet email
Select POP3
make sure both Use SSL boxes are checked.




That should do it, I did not take it to the next step - I don't have AT&T as a provider *Wink

Is it possible to configure the Server Ports in the outlook e-mail app?

I use AT&T for e-mail, and my mail account requires that I use server port 995 (incoming) and 465 (outgoing). I can create a new POP3 service for AT&T and setup everything up except the server ports (normally this setting is found under the Advanced tab in Outlook account settings).

Is there a way to set up server ports?

 

Stop Outlook from sending specific e-mails to Spam folder.

Did you actually check the junk lists and remove if found?

Sign in to your account

Try logging in there and if you can get web access check junk rules there.
