Windows 10: Scan a document and catalogue

Hi all and thank you for taking my mail: I would like to know if there is a software free if possible that will use my scanner and when a scan a document will catalogue the same. If not, how can I use my scanner and directly attach the picture in a page/or field in Access or Excel or other Microsoft or Microsoft 365 software. Directly; well the process of scanning and saving in a local drive folder, then attach the picture with the titles and comments and other indexing information, kind-a takes it away and its extremely a long manual process. So if the software can read the document and

By default, scans are saved in a Scans folder inside the Pictures. Here are the steps on how to get there:

• Press Windows and type pictures
• Click Pictures and double-click the Scans folder.

Furthermore, we suggest that you repair your Word application by following the steps on this

link.

How to save a scanned document as PDF

Hi Chuck.

There are some options that you can do to save the scanned documents to PDF file. You may follow these steps:

• Copy the scanned document.
• Open Word, then paste it.
• Click File > Save As > Choose the location where you want to save it.
• On Save as type, choose PDF > Save.
