Windows 10: Scan and Repair File History

Hello,My File History Drive, an external hard drive, says that it needed to be repaired. I pressed the repair button and a message appeared stating: Error Checking SSD D Scanning and repairing After hours of operation, no minimum progress is shown on the message's progress bar. Not even a little bit. The computer is new and does not have all that much on it. File History has been recording for about a month or so.I am running windows 10.Thank you very much

• Were there any changes made on your PC prior to the issue?
• Are you getting any error messages? Please send us a screenshot.
• Have you looked in the file history event logs to see if any errors were recorded?

In the meantime, we suggest that you perform a Clean Boot to eliminate software conflicts that occur when you access file history. You may refer to this

If the issue persists, try using the System File Checker tool to scan your system files and to repair missing or corrupted system files. The sfc/scannow command (System File Check) scans the integrity of all protected operating system files and replaces incorrect,
corrupted, changed or damaged versions with the correct versions possible. You may refer to this

By default, scans are saved in a Scans folder inside the Pictures. Here are the steps on how to get there:

• Press Windows and type pictures
• Click Pictures and double-click the Scans folder.
