Windows 10: scan file system won't work?

I try to run the sfc scan since I have been having computer problems it says it's beginning but, then says the request could not be performed? Thanks for all help! *Smile

Hi, first please check your disk. E.g. using

HD Tune v2.55 (free) Health and Error Scan tabs e.g. from Softpedia.com.
If SMART parameters cannot be read, try
Crystal Diskinfo

If ok please see e.g.

which suggests some appropriate steps.

Try these, and post back with screenshots thus

I think I fixed my internet problem by doing a hard reset on the modem/router I will try the v2.55 program for the no sfc problem. Thanks! *Smile

 

File Explorer won't open?

Perform the below troubleshooting steps and check:

Step 1: I suggest you to perform the
System File checker (SFC) scan to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Refer to these steps to perform a SFC scan:

• Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated command prompt.
• In the Command Prompt type the following command:
  sfc/scannow and press Enter.
• After the scan, restart the computer.
