    I Scanned a photo into the photo file option from the scanner menu as opposed to my documents or desk top. Also used menu prompt to open file in photosFile Explorer. After scan was completed, pictures in file explorer opened, however I'm not able to locate scanned photo. I recall seeing a "my scans" folder in file explorer at one time but not any more? Where did my scan land up? PS> Using Windows 10 Home / Epson WF2540. Thank you.

  2. Location service is greyed out

    Thank you for responding.

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused for you, I suggest you to try the below troubleshooting steps and check If it helps.

    Step 1: Steps to turn on the Location settings.

    • Login as an administrator.
    • Press Windows key, type Location settings and select
      Change location settings.
    • Check whether Location for this device is On by clicking on
      Change
      .
    • Also turn on Location as well.

    Step 2: And as you are unable to set the service Geolocation service to automatic, I suggest you to run SFC scan and check.

    System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

    Follow the below steps:


    • Right click on the Start button, click on
      Command Prompt (Admin).

    • Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
      Enter.

    • After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

    Try to set the service to automatic by following the steps provided in the above post by Praveen Venugopal.

  3. SlideShow in Photos app does not display more that 30 photos

    Hi,

    Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

    I suggest you to remove and re-add the photos folder from Photo app. Follow the steps below:


    • Open Photos App.

    • Click on Settings.

    • Under Sources click on the X mark next to the folder location listed to delete the location from Photos App.

    • Once done try to re-add the folder by clicking on Add a Folder.

    • Restart the computer and check if issue persists.

    Unable to scan photos and save to .jpeg format as Windows Fax and Scan has disappeared on Windows 10

    I understand your concern about saving the photos to .jpeg format and scanning them on your device. We will help you in resolving the issue.

    Do let us know the make and model of your compute and model of the printer you are using?

    Try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

    Step 1: I suggest you to follow the below steps to save the scanned copies to .jpeg format.

    • Press Windows key from the keyboard, type Windows Fax and Scan
      and select it.
    • Click on Scan from the left and click on
      New scan
      at the left top corner of the Toolbar.
    • When the "New Scan" dialog box opens, click the "Profile" drop-down list and choose "Photo."
    • Review the scanner settings. Make sure the printer/scanner is selected.
    • Click "Preview" to see what the scan would look like. Edit the scan settings if needed. For example, you can change the
      output file type (.jpeg) or move the slides to adjust the brightness and contrast.
    • Click "Scan." After the scanning is complete, click "Save As" on the toolbar and save the file under a new name.

    Step 2: I suggest you to disable Windows Fax and scan features, restart the computer, enable the feature and check helps.

    • Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on Programs and Features.
    • Click on Turn Windows features on or off from the left pane.
    • Expand Print and Document services, uncheck the option
      Windows Fax and Scanon.
    • Restart the computer and enable the feature.
