Windows 10: Scanning and Repairing C drive is showing even after I restart my device

Hello,I have a medium spec laptop. So I was playing a game when I shut my laptop down unintentionally. Now, every time I start my laptop, the loading screen shows "scanning and repairing drive:C". It does not show any pop up message after I log in my laptop, however I see that my drive is still damaged when I go to control panel<maintenance. There is suggest me to restart my device. Even after multiple restarts, I can still see that the device is not repaired. I have tried the chkdsk method, but it doesn't seem to work. Windows 10 system on restart shows SCANNING AND REPAIRING DRIVE C:

Upgraded to Windows 10 from 7. On restart it is showing SCANNING AND REPAIRING DRIVE C: 9% COMPLETE. it is stuck there for last 6 hour. What should be done.

After updating windows 10 i was having few issues with update and restart, this time after opening the pc it took a restart on its own, and showed scanning and repairing c drive, but after the completion it came to a blank screen and the mouse pointer.
Nothing else. I've tried to restart and turning on and off but nothing helping.

  Troubleshoot.
