Windows 10: Scheduled Task will not Wake PC

I have a process to backup my laptop to my NAS. This is scheduled to run, with Task Scheduler, as 22:30 each evening. The process used to wake the PC and run successfully on my old laptop, but fails to wake my new HP Pavilion 15-eg3016na. Instead, the process runs as soon as I manually wake the PC by opening the lid.I have ensured that advanced power options are configured to allow wake timers.Task Scheduler properties shown below.Thanks for your help.

Task Scheduler Not Waking Home Use Windows 11 From Sleep

Hi!

I'm trying to make Task Scheduler follow a schedule to:

1. Wake my laptop
   
2. Open Thunderbird.exe
   
3. Bring Thunderbrid.exe to the foreground
   

Problem

• The scheduled task only runs after I manually wake my laptop from sleep
  
  (Not sure if related to the root cause of the issue: Sometimes the Windows Clock App opens as I manually wake my laptop from sleep. When this happens, the Clock App launches before Thunderbird.exe)
  
• Task Scheduler's history tab has no logs for scheduled tasks that were missed because the laptop didn't wake up
  

Steps I Took

• Restart laptop
  
• Run power troubleshooter
  
• Update virtual network adapter enumerator
  
• Disable hibernation
  
• Disable fast start-up
  
• Make sure the maintenance schedule does not clash with the task's schedule
  
• Make sure Power Options - Sleep - Allow wake timers - Both Enabled
  
• Make sure Windows updates are up to date
  
• Make sure the scheduled task is viewable on powercfg -waketimers

Other Details

• Sleeping state in use: S0 Low Power Idle
  
• Always using the account with admin rights
  
• No account password - When I wake my laptop from sleep, it automatically shows my desktop
  
• Always connected to AC power

Scheduled Task not waking up PC.

Task Scheduler still not working after:
Making sure wake timers enabled.
powercfg /waketimers says wake timer is active.
Checking "Run whether logged on or not."
Checking "Run with highest privilege."
Checking "Wake the computer to run this task"
Task Scheduler service running.

Ran a test by setting the task to start 1 minute after putting PC to sleep and waited. When physically waking the PC from sleep, it restarted not with Task Scheduler.

By default, if it's time for your regularly scheduled backup and your computer is off, sleeping, or hibernating, Windows Backup skips the backup and waits for your next scheduled backup. However, if you want to automatically wake the computer
to perform backup, you can use the task scheduler.

To schedule a task to wake the computer before the scheduled backup time follow these steps:

1. Click on Start button and type “Task Scheduler” in the start search box and press enter.

2. Select the “Task Scheduler” from the menu and click on “Actions” and then select “Create task”.

3. Click “Conditions” tab and make sure that “Wake the computer to run this task” is checked.
