Windows 10: scheduling a virus scan with Windows 10 Windows Security ex Defender

I want to schedule antivirus scans in Windows 10 using Windows Securityex Defender.

I used the Task Scheduler and could not find a folder for Windows Defender. I discovered that Windows Defender is now called Windows Security. I could not find that either. Windows Security reports multiple scans but does not say when they were made.

Please Advise

If not, suggests deeper problems. To which uninstall option are you referring? (A picture is worth...)

Microsoft Security Essentials is neither designed for nor compatible with Windows 10.

Win8/10 has an in-built Anti-Virus product: Windows Defender

Windows Defender in Win8/10 is like Microsoft Security Essentials in
Win7.

You do not need to modify the scan schedule for Defender. By default it runs as part of maintenance. If one is not run in a while, Defender will prompt you via the Notification Center to run one manually.

You can change the time for the scheduled task or you can create a new task if you wish to run a weekly or monthly full scan, for example. See here:

Note that a scan is "after the fact" to catch something that real time protection has missed.

Schedule Defender Scans

No issue running at demand quick scans via Settings >Windows security>virus and threats >select quick scan . OK.
Went to Task scheduler > windows defender to sequence a daily scheduled scan as per Brinks Tutorial and found this .






Proceeded to insert new scheduled scan >start date >time .Clicked ok
Why has task scheduler shown all four previous scheduled tasks .Ready -No last runtime 30-11-99 12am (0x41303) No history
I was under the impression ,that with windows defender it was set up to run as auto each day and then on demand from user ,similiar to how various open market anti virus programs.
